ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF CBD RSETI TRAINED YOUTH

The Alumni Association of CBD RSETI, known as ASRAY (Association of Successful RSETI Alumni Youth), was established on 14th June 2006. It is a voluntary organization that brings together entrepreneurs trained at CBD RSETI who are successfully running their businesses.

Objectives and Usefulness:

1. Ongoing Support and Guidance: To provide continuous support to entrepreneurs trained by CBD RSETI for their business growth.
2. Promote Rural and Micro Entrepreneurs: Encourages mutual help, cooperation, and the spirit of entrepreneurship among members.
3. Market Linkages: Assists in marketing products by linking entrepreneurs with other organizations.
4. Addressing Challenges: Identifies and resolves common issues faced by trained entrepreneurs.
5. Entrepreneurial Skill Development: Aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of members through continuous information and training.
6. Creating Opportunities: Fosters entrepreneurship among unemployed youth.

Key Activities:

1. Networking and Exhibitions: Organizes networking events, exhibitions, and melas to market products.
2. Business Guidance and Motivation: Arranges business opportunity guidance and motivational sessions.
3. Skill Enhancement Programs: Conducts training programs, seminars, and workshops to upgrade members’ skills.
4. Exposure Visits: Organizes visits to model units to provide exposure and learning.
5. Government Benefits: Helps entrepreneurs avail government subsidies and incentives.
6. EAPs: Arranges Entrepreneurial Awareness Programs (EAPs) in collaboration with CBDRSETI.
7. Group Insurance and Member Benefits: Provides group insurance and other benefits to members.

Membership Guidelines:

1. Eligibility: The association enrolls self-employed persons/entrepreneurs who have been trained by CBDRSETI and are successfully running their businesses.
2. Fee Structure: The membership fee is Rs. 100/- for registration, with an annual renewal fee of Rs. 100/-.
3. Office Bearers: The association is governed by a President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and an executive committee of up to 20 members, representing different taluks.
4. Term of Office: The office bearers serve for a term of one year (January to December).
5. Meetings: The executive committee meets monthly, while the General Body Meeting is held annually with a 15-day prior notice. The General Body approves accounts, elects office bearers, and discusses other business matters.
6. Trained entrepreneurs who wish to enroll as members can contact the CBD RSETI office in Haliyal.
