Institute has made so many impactful contributions over the past two decades that it would be impossible to list them all.
Canara Bank Deshpande RSETI, has been providing unique training programmes like JCB operators, Light Motor vehicle driving, Tours and travels, Solar Technician etc. for the youth in the district of North Kanara and other surrounding places
Though RSETIs are sponsored and managed by different Banks, they have a common objective of promoting creation of sustainable rural enterprises. Canara Bank is the pioneer in promoting entrepreneurship and Rural development much before the implementation of RSETI movement in the country. Hence, we have shared our expertise in this field with CBD RSETI when the institute was established in 2004.
Canara Bank Deshpande RSETI is a unique RSETI in the country where in both Self Employment training and Rural Development Activities are being carried out through its 4 satellite canters.
I am happy to know that Institute has trained 1223 unemployed youth in 46 different training programmes during the year. Its more pleasure to understand that Institute has promoted more that 1400 Self Help group with a total membership of 16000 women.
I am proud that Institute has been recognized as Second Best RSETI in the country for its excellent performance and for implementing the RSETI movement effectively for the year 2017-18.by Ministry of Rural Development, G.O.I. V R Deshpande Memorial Trust has provided state of art facilities to the training Institute and it is one of the model Institutes in the country in this regard
