Joida Extension Centre

Empowering Rural Communities through Holistic Development

Established on April 1, 2008, the Joida Extension Centre is dedicated to supporting and empowering rural women in Joida Taluk, one of the most underdeveloped regions in the district. Our mission is to foster socio-economic change through community support, skill development, and capacity-building initiatives.

Key Focus Areas

    1. Promotion of Self-Help Groups (SHGs): We form, nurture, and strengthen SHGs to encourage savings, financial independence, and social and economic development.
    2. Income Generation Activities: Our skill-based training programs, such as phenyl making, candle making, and food product preparation, enable rural women to generate sustainable incomes.
    3. Rural Development Programs: We conduct agricultural and horticultural training, organize health camps, and implement agro-based activities and RSETI Bazaars to support local economies.
    4. Water Conservation Programs: Our initiatives include desilting and rejuvenation of tanks, construction of farm ponds, and promotion of water-saving practices.
    5. General Community Support: We provide support to farmers, promote self-employment through sewing machine distribution, and encourage youth participation through sports kits distribution.

Impact and Commitment
Through its multifaceted approach, the Joida Extension Centre continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing livelihoods, empowering women, and driving sustainable development across the region. Our commitment to holistic development remains unwavering, ensuring a brighter future for rural communities.
